Cù Lao Chàm - Hòn Lao Island

Southwest of Hội An - Mỹ Sơn

Head west out of Central Hội An along Hùng Vương street, following the road all the way to Vĩnh Điện, then turn south on National Road 1A, almost immediately crossing the Thu Bồn River by the new bridge. On your right as you cross the river you will see the original 620m long Câu Lâu Bridge, still in use today, which was originally built in 1966 as the "Liberty Bridge" by US Naval Facilities Engineering Command Naval Construction Force, popularly known as the Seabeees.

Around 2km beyond the river bridge you will arrive at the Nam Phuoc junction in xã Duy Phước, Duy Xuyên district; fork right here onto the DT610 (also known as Hùng Vương street), which lead west.

Around 3.5km later you will pass through a built-up area which was once the Mã Châu Silk Weaving Village, one of Quảng Nam's best known traditional craft villages, though sadly today there is very little evidence of that.

Continue through Trà Kiệu (6.5 km from Nam Phước) and Duy Hòa (18.5km from Nam Phước). From Duy Hòa, fork left onto an unnamed road which takes you further 9km south to Mỹ Sơn.

Located in a valley some 25k as the crow flies southwest of Hội An, the Mỹ Sơn Chàm temples are Vietnam's most important Chàm temple complex. Frequently compared to South East Asia's other major temple complexes such as Angkor Wat, Borobudur, Pagan and Ayutthaya, Mỹ Sơn was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1999.

Marble Mountains - Ngũ Hành Sơn

Address: Đường Huyền Trân Công Chúa, phường Hòa Hải, quận Ngũ Hành Sơn, thành phố Đà Nẵng

Admission: 40,000 VND plus 15,000 each way for an elevator to the summit.

Located around 10kms southeast of Đà Nẵng and 20 km northeast of Hội An, the Marble Mountains, meaning "Five elements mountains" is a cluster of five marble and limestone outcrops located in a 2km^2 area midway between the Son Tra peninsula's Trường Sơn (Ocean) and Lê văn Hiến (West) roads. Each of the five "mountains" is named after an element - Kim Son (metal), Mộc Sơn (wood), Thủy Sơn (water), Hỏa Sơn (Fire with two peaks) and Thổ Sơn (earth). All but one - Mộc Sơn - have pagodas and caves, but Thủy sơn is the largest and most beautiful and therefore the one which is most visited by tourists.

Dragon Bridge - the award-winning design

On Nguyễn Văn Linh junction was designed by Louis Berger and Ammann & Whitney following an international design competition. Construction commenced in July 2009 and the bridge opened to traffic on 29th March 2013, the 38th anniversary of the fall of Đà Nẵng in 1975. The bridge has eight spans and measures 666m long by 37.5m wide. The structure includes a series of tubular arches designed to resemble a Lý dynasty dragon, each incorporating LED lights that illuminate the structure at night, "flowing through the colour spectrum and giving dynamic, dazzling views which reflect off the surface of the river." The dragon's head also has the capability to "breathe" fire or water- special shows were once staged every Saturday and Sunday evening, though these days they held less frequently.

Ba Na Hill Da Nang

Bà Nà Hill Station (or Bà Nà Hills or Sun World Ba Na Hills) is a hill station and resort located in the Trường Sơn Mountains west of the city of Da Nang, in central Vietnam. The station, advertised as "the Da Lat of Danang province" by local tourism authorities, was founded in 1919 by French colonists. The colonists had built a resort to be used as a leisure destination for French tourists. Being located 1500 metres above sea level, it has a view of the East Sea and the surrounding mountains.

Due to the elevation of the resort, the temperature is cooler than the environment near the coast. Linh Ung Pagoda is situated near the station, with a cable car nearby to carry tourists to and from the resort.

Ba Na resort cable carsThe Ba Na Cable Car, opened on 29 March 2013, holds the world record for longest non-stop single track cable car at 5,801 metres (19,032 ft) in length.[4] Its latest tourist attraction is the Golden Bridge (Cầu Vàng).

The hill station is located at an elevation of 1,500 metres (4,900 ft), 42 kilometres (26 mi) from Da Nang.

In 2021 Ba Na Hills added their 6th Cable Car to the park, made by Doppelmayr and managed by Sun World, Sun Group.
